Our Services

At Modern Golf Course Design we turn your dreams into reality. Our staff utilizes innovative computer technology to facilitate our projects, which helps our clients visualize the design concept before construction begins. Whether it is designing a new golf course, renovating bunkers or anything in between, we create memorable courses for golfers to enjoy.

New Course Design

Golf courses are places where people gather to relax and enjoy the company and competition of their fellow golfers, however golf courses do not simply arise spontaneously; they must be envisioned and planned. Through extensive collaboration with the client we are able to create renowned golf courses for all levels of golfers within the context of the natural surroundings. From project inception through the construction and grow-in phases we remain actively involved to ensure that the integrity of the project is maintained.

Renovation

There are multiple reasons why it is necessary to renovate a course: making changes to improve weak holes, replacing worn out components, or simply wear and tear from Mother Nature are just a few. Whatever the reasoning or need for the renovation, the success can be measured by the degree of transformation in the golfer’s state of mind. Successful renovations encourage the golfer to feel comfortable and relaxed, but at the same time should be excited and want to play the course again and again. This can only be accomplished by involving the client in each step of the process. This partnership enables us to create golf courses that harmonize with the client’s vision.

Restoration

We are passionate about the preservation and restoration of classic golf courses designed by such visionary architects as Dr. Alister MacKenzie, Donald Ross, H.S. Colt, Charles Allison, C.B. McDonald, A.W. Tillinghast, Seth Raynor, Press and Perry Maxwell as well as others. We believe that these golf courses should tell a compelling story that not only speaks to its historical and cultural significance, but to its legacy as well.

Practice Facilities

The meaning of ‘practice facility’ has evolved beyond the traditional driving range to include short game practice areas, chipping greens, putting courses, and teaching facilities. As more people are introduced to the game of golf, practice facilities are becoming more and more important. From a traditional driving range to a state of the art learning center, our innovative approach and collaboration with golf professionals gives us the ability to design some of the most creative practice facilities for golfers to improve their game.
